These pictures are of our 2018 Gravely Utility Task Vehicle (UTV). This vehicle is kept at station 1.
Driver Console
The Driver Console contains controls for emergency lights, sirens, speaker, and two radios. It also contains charging holders for cell phones, portable radios, and a tablet. The tablet provides call information, mapping, pre-plans, known hazards, water supply, and other information.
Equipment
This vehicle includes a winch, and carries wilderness extrication equipment such as a litter and wheel.
This vehicle is used to access limited access areas such as class 6 roads, powerline trails, the Rail Trail, snowmobile trails, and similar locations. For single track trails like those found on our many walking and hiking trails around town, the UTV carries a litter with a wheel to extrication people experiencing medical conditions and or traumatic injuries. The vehicle is also utilized for fire, rescue, and medical response during large gatherings or events.
