These photos show our 2017 12' Zodiac MilPro Rescue boat and trailer. This fire rescue boat is stationed at station 1 downtown.
Engine
The boat is powered by a 30hp Evinrude outboard engine and Rescue Pro pumpjet lower unit. The lower unit has a heavy-duty shroud around an impeller versus a stand propeller. This prevents victim or rescue propeller strikes and damage from minor contact with underwater obstructions.
Equipment
Our fire rescue boats carry a variety of water rescue equipment including swiftwater/flood rescue personal protective equipment, victim search and rescue equipment, and boat maintenance or repair items and equipment.
Our fire rescue boats are utilized for swiftwater/flood, and ice rescue. They are also utilized for patient and firefighting equipment transport to and from islands or difficult to reach areas such as our many lakes, ponds and swamps.
