ENGINE 2

These photos show our 2023 fire engine, which is the first due engine from station 2 in Pinardville. This vehicle helps our firefighters respond quickly and effectively to many different types of emergencies.

  • Firefighting Strength

    • A 1,500 gallon-per-minute pump provides strong water flow to fight fires.

    • A 1,000-gallon water tank allows crews to start working right away, even without a hydrant.

    • Foam equipment is on board to improve the effectiveness of water and extinguish fuel fires that water alone cannot control.

  • Rescue Tools

    • The fire engine carries extrication and stabilization equipment, which allows firefighters to safely free people entrapped from serious motor vehicle collisions or other incidents.

    • This fire engine carries a rescue litter used to carry patients over difficult terrain such as riverbanks, steep embankments, uneven terrain, and over structural debris.

  • Hazard Response

    • It is equipped with first-line hazardous materials equipment so crews can assess the situation, evacuate people, and mitigate basic chemical spills or other dangerous situations.

This truck is more than just a fire engine, it is a tool that helps us protect our community in emergencies of all kinds, from fires and hazardous materials events to motor vehicle collisions and other medical calls.
