[ARCHIVED] Public Notice - Listed Agent Program

The Goffstown Fire Department will be implementing a listed agent program. A Listed Agent is a fire alarm/sprinkler technician, licensed electrician or property agent who has applied for and demonstrated proficiency in “short” arming a master box as well as familiarity with the applicable local codes.

The purpose of a listed agent program is to ensure that only authorized individuals are allowed to perform maintenance, replacement, upgrades, or testing of fire alarm systems. This ensures continuity to the monitoring of fire alarm systems and notification to building occupants.

Individuals interested in becoming listed agents are required to complete the following:

  • Review and adhere to the requirements of Goffstown Fire Department Risk Management Listed Agent Program (Document 1201).
  • Demonstrate proficiency in placing a master box out of service and back in service.
  • Complete a Listed Agent Application Form yearly to maintain certification.

The Listed Agent Program and Listed Agent Application can be found on the fire department website at (https://www.goffstownnh.gov/584/Listed-Agent-Program). Initial applicants must return the application in person at Goffstown Fire Department Station 1 located at 18 Church Street, Goffstown NH 03045 and be ready to demonstrate proficiency. Renewal applications that do not require re-testing can be mailed to the same address via USPS.

Any questions or concerns regarding this program can be directed to Captain Tim Lavoie via email or by phone at (603) 497-8287.
